Some weddings are just good for your soul. This was one of those weddings; it was a beautiful day, with a wonderful couple, and stunning mountain backdrops. Nothing was going to shake my happy go lucky feeling as I drove down I-79 windows down, tuned into 97.9 on the radio, jamming out to my favorite country songs.
Cue the main reason for my happy dance, Chelsey and Jared, who gave me a call as soon as they had their date set even a couple years back, in fact, she was the very first inquiry the day of my new website launch two years ago. So this has been a long awaited affair, and I was just tickled to death to pull up on a gorgeous sunny day and get started capturing some beautiful memories for these two.
From the moment I met John and Becca I knew we’d be a great fit. Over coffee and conversation, I became convinced that Becca and I were kindred spirits with our love for academics, check lists, and animals… and I kept saying to John he had so many similar qualities as my favorite guy, who also loves to cook and has a great work ethic. After hugging goodbye… I knew I wanted to see them both again.
Once in a blue moon we’re lucky enough to all work together doing what we love most, and so, with our ongoing theme on vlogging with A Collective Pursuit I thought it’d be fun to put a little behind the scenes video together. I thank my lucky stars everyday that I landed in this little tribe of wonderful ladies. Living my best life with these gals by my side.
Who doesn’t love hitting the reset button? Every year we’re granted the opportunity to completely change our bad habits with a fresh start. We’re rejuvenated and inspired to be a better version of our previous years self. I personally love that sentiment and the opportunity to do so.
The Gorgeous couple is celebrating their one-year anniversary TODAY.
As a wedding photographer you see a lot of beautiful celebrations. They are all special and beautiful in their own way, but occasionally you’ll get to partake in one that is absolutely beyond words gorgeous… the kind you leave at the end of the day and whisper to your second shooter, ”If I could do it over again…”.
Cooper our sweet little man, you turn two today, and while I can’t believe it…your daddy and I are doing a little happy dance that for the first time in 4 years we are officially out of the baby stage...and we survived. You are just learning to talk (your first word was Hi!) and you can now hold your own in battles with your sister. You took your time walking, but are now running circles around us. We still have to work on that binky but we’ll get there. You make are hearts full and our family complete.
I don’t think there’s any denying that I’m a lil’ bit obsessed with my littles. I love shooting weddings, families, and just about any special event, but when I’m not clicking away capturing other’s beautiful moments I’m always craving capturing my own.
I really believe that life is all about collecting beautiful moments and I treasure every time I can get my wiggly, yet adorable, little rugrats to give me a smile or sweet candid moment in front of my lens.
Last weekend’s wedding at Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa in Morgantown, WV was absolutely stunning. Combine the perfect couple, a wonderful family, beautiful blue skies, a gorgeous floral wedding backdrop by Bella Fiore, and sunset photos at the 7th tee, and well, you have a perfect day.
I had the absolute best time hanging out with Nicole and Craig. Chatting about all the details of their upcoming wedding, their love story, and capturing these gorgeous sunrise photos were well worth the early morning wake up call.
What a beautiful celebration. This mother of 5 decided to join Rodan + Fields just 4 years ago to earn a bit of grocery money on the side. This incredible woman and female entrepreneur just reached Premiere Level V Lexus Achiever. Look at that beautiful car!
Even more inspiring, I was so incredibly impressed by all of these beautiful women at Joanne’s celebration. Did I mention beautiful? I hear they know of a great skin care line.
I knew Ashley and Scott's wedding day was going to be amazing after we first met. This incredibly sweet and genuine couple came to my home just after the New Year for a little meet and greet. We ended up talking for a little over three hours... and I think it's safe to say we hit it off. From that moment on, I was tickled to death excited to be their photographer and capture their big day.
Ben and Becca chose The Inn at Vint Hill in Warrenton, VA as their venue to say “I Do”, and it couldn’t have been more breathtaking. With the help of family and friends to create sentimental details like handmade wooden signs made by the grooms father and the Chuppah where Ben and Becca became man and wife along with the beautiful backdrops that The Inn at Vint Hill had to offer it’s no wonder their day came together perfectly. It was truly a team effort and family affair.
